This work begins with the artist's personal experiences living in Bali, considering creative needs and budget. Renting a tin shack factory in Bali is a preferred choice due to its affordability, spaciousness, and proximity to schools. "Walking around Thunder" reflects on the spatial experience of staying in the tin shack. The connection between the interior space of the factory and the sound is akin to a resonating metal box. When there is any external disturbance, such as the sound of cars, rain, or gravel hitting the edges of the shack, the entire tin space starts to sway slightly, emitting sharp and piercing noises. It resembles ripples on the surface of water, spreading waves throughout the interior space until it returns to stillness, awaiting the next sound to pass by. By combining a power device on a microphone stand with aluminum sheets and controlling the settings on the controller, a single strike is generated every minute. The manipulation of the aluminum sheets creates a momentary presence resembling the sound of wind or thunder. The light refracted by the aluminum sheets oscillates, leaves traces, and eventually settles in the entire space, repeating this cycle continuously. It represents a fold in time and the trajectory of movement.
